But after the photos went viral, the fisherman who caught the large fish blu marlin has come up with an explanation and its not what you expected, it's not about Maui or cruelty as what netizen thought
According to 41-year-old fisherman Zosimo Tano, he caught the blu marlin one night and sold the 24kl fish at the market for Php180 per kilo.
He thought his catch was just normal and didnt mind the appearance until his friends told him that the fish he caught was all over the internet. The fisherman was amused over the attention of that fish had received, considering that he knew exactly how the large fish got those 'tattoos'!
So how did the fish got all the tattoos or detailed marking on its skin? the fisherman revealed that when he caught the fish, he wrapped it inside his printed tshirt but didn't realized that the print on his shirt reacted with the fish's skin causing the print transfer unto its skin, that's how the fish got all the intricate tattoos.
And to prove that he is telling the truth and that there was no magic to that fish markings. Tano showed his printed tshirt clear enough to explain all the markings because the print all matches the one on that fish.
