At his young age William Maillis, 9 year old, already planned his life for one of his biggest goals he wanted to achieve in the future. He wanted to be an Astrophysicist so he can prove the existence of God.
It maybe sounds like a joke to others, but this boy from Penn Township, Pennsylvania is really serious in pursuing his dream. In fact, the boy has already graduated from high school, at his very young age he already enrolled in college.
According to Peter and Nancy, his parents, they noticed that their son was special at 6 months of age, he started recognizing and identifying words and numbers. And by the age of 7 months, their son was speaking in complete sentences.
"William was very sharp," his father said. "William remembers everything he sees."
Now pursuing the kid's dream, his parents are so proud of him and they are continuously guiding, supporting and allowing him to take what course he wants.
As for his college environment his professors say they treat him just like his other classmates, although he is only about half their age.
As Aaron Hoffman, History professor of William, put it:
"We haven't steered away from any topics: Hitler, Mussolini, the holocaust, wars. If he's here for college, he's going to get college-level material."
"It doesn't bother me," William said about being the youngest student in class. "I'm used to it by now."
"I want to prove to everybody that God does exist," William said.
He disagrees with some theories by Hawking and Einstein regarding black hole sizes. He also believes only an outside force can be capable of creating the cosmos.
